Ward Hayden and The Outliers

Ward Hayden & the Outliers

Ward Hayden & The Outliers (formerly Girls Guns & Glory) formed as an alternative to the music they found so common on popular airwaves. Ward Hayden & the Outliers Bio

Ward Hayden & The Outliers (formerly Girls Guns & Glory) formed as an alternative to the music they found so common on popular airwaves. Hailing from Boston, the band is an outlier in the world of country music, playing their own amalgam of country music and early rock’n’roll at honky-tonks, beer joints and concert venues throughout the U.S. Wade Hayden & the Outliers have made a name for themselves, amassing a loyal legion of fans including Rolling Stone, which heralds them as a “modern-day Buddy Holly plus Dwight Yoakam divided by the Mavericks.”

Their love for early rock ’n’ roll, true country, raw blues and pretty much any kind of authentic American music branded them quickly as anomalous, electrifying and versatile in their collective musicianship. Their songs run the gamut of love, hope, work-a-day life, the grind, and the results of those experiences on the body and mind. Their new album Can’t Judge a Book is a collection mostly of songs written by other songwriters that have inspired their journey, as well as 1 original song co-written by the entire band.
