Two Runner Bio
Hailing from the hills of Northern California, Two Runner is an acclaimed folk duo made up of songwriter Paige Anderson and fiddler Emilie Rose. Their music shines with authenticity and heartfelt craftsmanship, blending traditional American folk roots with modern storytelling.
Growing up in a rural mountain town, Paige and Emilie both embraced folk music and live performance from a young age. Now, as Two Runner, they have brought their harmonies, clawhammer banjo, old-time fiddle, flatpicking guitar, and Paige’s wistful songwriting to stages across the country.
Their debut album, Modern Cowboy, self-released in the spring of 2023, has further cemented their place in the folk world. Two Runner has shared stages with renowned artists such as Sierra Ferrell, Watchhouse, Jesse Daniel, Nick Shoulders, and Charlie Parr.
About the Artists
Paige Anderson began her musical career at age nine, touring nationally with her family bluegrass band, Anderson Family Bluegrass. Her passion for songwriting was ignited at 15 when she co-wrote her first song with Chuck Ragan. Over the years, Paige has explored various musical roles, including playing bass for Family of the Year in 2018, constantly evolving as an artist.
Emilie Rose’s musical roots are in Celtic fiddle and years of leading her trio, The String Sisters, in Northern California. After graduating from Berklee College of Music in 2020, where she studied under legends like Bruce Molsky and Natalie Haas, Emilie returned home and connected with Paige. Their shared love for folk music resulted in the formation of Two Runner.
