The Strumbellas Bio

The Strumbellas are a Canadian indie folk band who have just released their 5th album, Part Time Believer. Formed in 2008 in Ontario, they immediately developed a devoted following. Their first album, the 2012 My Father and the Hunter, was nominated for a Juno (the Canadian equivalent of a GRAMMY ) in the category of Roots and Traditional Album of the Year, and their second album, We Still Move On Dance Floors, won the Juno in that category in 2014. In 2017, their song, Spirits, from their third album, won the Juno for Single of the Year and in September 2019, the Liberal Party of Canada adopted the band’s song One Hand Up, which originally appeared on Rattlesnake, The Strumbellas’s fourth album, as their campaign anthem for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s campaign.
