Joining us for the first time from Ashville, NC is the Americana group The Honeycutters. The five-piece group performs original music that is “both sardonic and sweet, which adds a contemporary element to their country twanged American sound”. Drawing from traditional country harmonies and musical sentiments, their music speaks of simpler and more honest times. In 2011, their song “Little Bird”, written by vocalist Amanda Anne Platt, was chosen as a finalist at MerleFest’s Chris Austin Songwriting Contest.Their songs, raw and true, are not to be forgotten.
