TAE & The Neighborly Bio
Hailing from Wisconsin, Tae & The Neighborly bring a soulful fusion of pop and R&B to the stage with a backstory as unique as their sound. The five-member group was formed in an unconventional way—starting as neighbors, each living alone on a different floor of a five-story flat.
Amid the early days of the 2020 pandemic and facing sugar shortages, their shared love for cake baking turned into something extraordinary. Frequent visits to borrow a cup of sugar sparked a decision to move in together and combine cake-baking resources. From the shared rhythms created in the kitchen, a musical collaboration began to take shape, and before long, Tae & The Neighborly were writing and performing together across the country.
Critics describe their sound as “having more kick than a bagged-up mule” (Rotary Times) and their live performances as “going down smoother than a can of [beans] warmed on the campfire” (Cowboy Gazette). Packed with energy, heart, and an inspiring message of self-love and community, their performances create an unforgettable experience.
