Sarah Potenza Bio
Having just released her second solo album, Road to Rome, Sarah Potenza is back at Rhythm & Roots, to wow us again with her dynamic singing and songwriting and big, brassy personality.
Rolling Stone Magazine says
“Potenza is to the blues what Adele is to pop”.
They hailed the Rhode Island native one of the top acts they at SXSW this year. The former front-woman of Sarah & the Tall Boys moved with her guitarist husband Ian Crossman to Nashville to be a part of the booming music scene in Sarah’s own name several years back. This led to a spellbinding blind audition for NBC’s The Voice, which yielded a coveted four-chair turn. Potenza will be returning to Rhythm and Roots with her full band, including fellow voice contestant, Tonya Boyd-Cannon. Sarah told us she is looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and tearing down the stage.
