Molly Tuttle Bio

Molly Tuttle’s album City of Gold showcases her musical versatility through a blend of bluegrass, roots-rock, and storytelling, inspired by her childhood in Northern California and her experiences as a touring musician. Collaborating with her live band, Golden Highway, for the first time and co-producing with bluegrass legend Jerry Douglas, the album captures both vibrant energy and intricate craftsmanship. Featuring tracks like “El Dorado,” inspired by her childhood visit to Coloma, and an emotional duet with Dave Matthews on “Yosemite,” the album delivers a range of themes from love and loss to cultural reflections on topics like gentrification (“Where Did All the Wild Things Go”) and marijuana legalization (“Down Home Dispensary”). Tuttle’s intricate guitar work, detailed songwriting, and communal approach invite listeners to connect deeply, reflecting a shared love for music among her audience and bandmates.
