Kindred Valley Bio
Kindred Valley is an indie folk band that began when three friends met at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, in 2020. Originally performing as Back Row Baptists, Blake Lacy, Noah Freeman, and Breb McCoy started writing and recording music together, releasing their first singles as a trio. In 2021, the band welcomed husband-and-wife duo Rachael and Jadon Hayes, solidifying their lineup and sound.
Following the unexpected success of their self-titled debut album, Kindred Valley hit the road, performing across the Eastern United States. Through countless shows and long miles, the band developed a distinctive identity—one rooted in Appalachian influences and shaped by the unique perspectives each member brings to the table.
After releasing their EP What Was Left, Kindred Valley has continued to refine their craft, writing songs and playing shows whenever possible. Their music captures the spirit of collaboration, blending heartfelt lyrics with rich harmonies that resonate with audiences far beyond their West Virginia origins.
