Camping at Ninigret Park

Camping at Ninigret Park is allowed ONLY during the Rhythm and Roots Festival beginning at 9 Friday morning and ending at noon on Monday. The area is perfect for RVs, pop-up campers and tents. The terrain is flat, grassy, and spacious.

Portable toilets, hand washing stations and drinking water are provided free of charge. Showers are available for a nominal fee. There are bike trails, hiking trails, tennis courts, a planetarium and freshwater swimming pond on site. Bikes are not allowed into the stage area, so please secure your bike with a lock while you're enjoying the music.

The Town of Charlestown does not allow alcohol in Ninigret Park camping area. Beer and wine are available for sale inside the concert area.

~~~ ARRIVAL PROCEDURES ~~~

NINIGRET PARK opens at SUNRISE (6am) FRIDAY for campers to line up inside the park, where you'll wait until the camping area opens at 9am. You'll then drive in, get your wristband and proceed to find a camping spot. Specific spots are not assigned in advance.

NOTE: Park Gates will be locked at sundown (7:30pm) Thursday night and will reopen at sunrise (6:00am) Friday. Parking along the road outside the park is not permitted.  If you plan to be in the area Thursday night, you will need another location to camp.

CAMPING TICKET ALERT #1: Each person camping at R&R must have a camping ticket. We sell only 1500 camping tickets and nearly always sell out. So get your tickets in advance!
